The 15th Annual Spay Day USA has come and gone and was a big success for The Sheena Foundation and for 77 animals in the Magic Valley! We spayed 42 females and neutered 35 males, none of whom will ever have to worry about adding to the animal population!
We thank the Buhl Herald and many local businesses who provided publicity. Especially, we are grateful to the management of Locally Owned Radio for providing hours of public service announcements on its several stations. These generated many opportunities to remind listeners about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. Many listeners telephoned for appointments, and those who could not manage to attend this clinic have already reserved for the next clinic in April.
It was wonderful to be part of this important national event dedicated to responsible pet ownership.

The Sheena Foundation, Ltd. sponsors regular monthly low-cost spay/neuter clinics at the LaRue Veterinary Clinic, PC in Filer. Clinics are priced to save you between 10 and 15% of the going rate for these surgeries and are a great time to get your cat’s shots up to date as well. Clinics provide out-patient surgery; the cats or kittens arrive early in the morning and are ready to go home at the end of the business day. Pediatric spay/neutering, performed when the kittens weigh as little as 2 lbs, can give these little guys a great start, and they never have to worry about becoming parents.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our special adoption events over the last two weeks! Eleven beautiful kitties found great homes, and we were glad to talk to so many people interested in our work!
